Mothers make the best decisions they can when dealing with
the early birth of still born children and children born way too
early with no chance of survival. It is a very emotional and heart
breaking time for them. To go through labor knowing your
precious child is already gone takes an enormous emotional toll
on the family and especially the mother.
They often later find themselves questioning the decisions they
made. They fight with feelings of abandonment and guilt for doing
what they felt was best to do at the time. This poem is written for a
new and dear friend I have recently made that has struggled with
these very feelings herself.
